| JACK SMART is a partner with
the firm of Vogt & Resnick and is a member of the firm’s Litigation
Group. Mr. Smart’s practice includes a broad range of business
and employment litigation as well as legal and professional malpractice.
His unique combination of business and legal experience is a proven
asset in successfully representing clients in mediation, arbitration
and litigation.
MR. SMART HAS EXTENSIVE HANDS-ON
management experience in business and industry having served as
Senior Vice President and Chief Group Executive for Monogram Industries,
a N.Y.S.E.-listed conglomerate, and President and C.E.O of Spaulding
Composites, Inc., a business Mr. Smart acquired in a leveraged
acquisition from Monogram Industries. Mr. Smart later sold his
interest in Spaulding Composites, returned to California, and
entered the legal profession.
MR. SMART’S LEGAL EXPERIENCE COUPLED
with his business background is a valuable tool for advising individuals,
businesses and professionals in all aspects of business litigation
and business transaction matters, as well as legal and professional
malpractice.
MR. SMART EARNED HIS BACHELOR OF
SCIENCE in Law and accomplished his Juris Doctorate
Degree at Western State University College of Law; graduating
in the top ten percent of his class. Mr. Smart became a member
of the million-dollar verdict club early in his career and has
been a member of the California Bar Association, and licensed
to practice law since 1990. Mr. Smart is admitted to all Appellate
Court Districts in Southern California, the 9th Circuit Court
of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Smart is
an experienced arbitrator and mediator and has earned a Certificate
in mediation from the Straus Institute for Alternative Dispute
Resolution, Pepperdine University School of Law.
